The use of mobiles has become rampant. Most people in the developed and the developing regions of the globe own the latest handsets that they use for connecting and communicating on the move. These high-end gadgets have become a part of life- a fact that is having impact on other areas as well. Many companies are using this trend to their advantage; they are making the most a feature called SMS marketing to make their presence felt among a target group of users.

As is evident from the name, SMS marketing is a procedure wherein specific messages from a particular company are sent to certain mobile numbers. As of now, there are many guidelines in place and the marketing through such messages do not fall in the realm of spam. Most often than not, the service providers take care of the fact that the subscribers to their services are not at the receiving end of spam messages.

This form of marketing is a part of other such procedures, which can collectively be given the name of mobile marketing. The corporates – going for any of these options- could send MMS messages as well and create a better impact on their users. Apart from MMS and SMS service, there are other alternatives such as Bluetooth marketing and Infrared marketing.

The content of these messages is promotional in nature as well as interactive. As a matter of fact, many corporates are using the SMS delivery solutions to forge a healthy relationship with the end users.

The corporate clients can use the SMS marketing solutions to ensure that the customers remain loyal to their services. They can also acquaint the target users with special deals and offers, or new and innovative products that have just been launched. The interactivity of these solutions could ensure that the clients get a response from their users, which in turn would help them to enhance the quality and the level of their services. Moreover, customer interest can be generated using the platform of popular competitions, which could also double up as a source of revenue.

The SMS delivery solutions have instant reach. In addition, one could also use SMS gateways to generate the maximum hype with the minimum possible costs. There are certain demerits as well; the messages could sometimes become very much obtrusive. To deal with this problem, the corporate clients should understand where to draw the line. The messages have to be short and crisp – otherwise these would loose their purpose. People are not generally interested in going through long messages.

Despite the minor drawbacks, the SMS gateways are proving to be the best bet for many small and medium business establishments and corporate houses wanting to reach the users of their products and services at the grass-root level.

I have been earning a living online for nearly 10 years now. Through that time, I’ve had my ups and downs. Smiles and frowns. I’ve learned a lot. I know the do’s and dont’s of internet marketing. If you want to be successful at marketing things online you’ve come to the right place. I’ll try to give a few tips on how to earn money online.

Many come, but few are chosen. There are thousands if not millions of people who try to earn a living online yearly. Sadly, many of them fail. Here’s why:

1. They aren’t patient – Most people fail because they want to see massive profits right away. If you want to make money online, you have to treat it like any other business. You have to build your business. Form a business plan. If you have no structure then you are destined to fail. So be patient and build your business. Don’t be upset if you don’t make tons of money right away.

2. Lack of focus – When building your business it is essential that you focus on the task at hand. Do not stray away from what you are trying to accomplish. If it is your goal to earn cash by article marketing then stick to it. Write articles everyday. If you are selling items on eBay, keep experimenting with various items until you find your niche, until you find a hot item.

3. Lack of Motivation – You have to be motivated to make money online. Even when things aren’t going so well you have to find something that motivates you. That’s why you should start a business that you are passionate about. Most likely it will keep you motivate. For me, money is motivation. I am driven to earn massive amounts of cash online. I know it’s out there and I’m going to earn it by any means necessary.

4. Lack of knowledge – You must study. Read any and everything you can to learn everything about marketing online. There’s great information to be found in forums, ebooks and videos.

5. Lazy – Unfortunately, people believe that money will fall from the sky. It does not work that way. If you want to make money online, you have to be a go getter. Just because you build a site does not mean you are going to be rich. You have to put forth the effort, market your site, study your competition… be active, be creative.

These are just a few tips to become a success internet marketer.

To maximize my knowledge and profits online, I am currently reading MOLB Wealth Formula. Please visit my site for more information on this hot product. http://www.internetcashmania.info

When you put a item up on sale on eBay don’t forget to include some product images in your listing. By not doing so you will lose a lot of bids. Even if you write a detailed description of your item, product images are still essential.

Despite your past history as eBay seller and even if you have a very positive feedback score, people are always somewhat reluctant to buy online due to the lack of a personal contact with the seller.

And I couldn’t honestly say that this attitude is injustified because unfortunately eBay frauds do exist!

Images will help you demonstrate that you aren’t hiding anything with regards to the quality of the product you sell.

Depending by the nature of the item you sell, several pictures from different angles can be the optimal choice.

eBay sellers often offer slightly defective items at a greatly discounted price. If this happens to you and even if you have well documented the item conditions in your listing, try to include a detailed picture of the flaw. You will show to a potential buyer that you are completely honest about the nature of the item you sell.

Selling tutorials available on eBay site will give you some tips on the best way to take picture of your eBay items with a digital camera or a scanner. They are very basic advices, but still useful if you are completely inexperienced with digital photography.

- Optimize your images

Images have also some drawbacks. You should always try to find a good compromise between details and image size as biggest images can considerably slow down your eBay listing page and make you lose some bids. Buyers are impatient and not everyone has a fast Internet connection.

Usually digital cameras or scanners are sold with a photo retouching software that allows you to convert images in a file format suitable for the Web (JPEG) and reduce the file size by reducing image dimensions or the number of colors.

- No broken images please

Nothing will drive potential buyers away from your eBay listing page more quickly than a broken image.

When you create your listing you are allowed to load images from your hard disk and store it on eBay server. This is the safest choice because your images will be surely available when people visit your listing.

But you can also include externally hosted images by using the HTML img tag in your listing.

If you choose to do so, be sure to host your image files with a reliable service. If the host where your images reside becomes inaccessible for any reason, eBay users visiting your listing will see a broken image.

If you run your own website you can save the images in a directory on your hosting account. Be aware that some web hosting services don’t allow remote linking of images, i.e. using your host web space as a storage area for images you use on other sites, in this case eBay. This is usually true for free hosting services, so if you have a paid hosting account you should not have problems.

Alternatively you can utilize one of the many image hosting services. You can find many of these services with a simple search on Google. Usually every site offers clear instructions that will make the entire procedure really simple even for the most inexperienced users.

Whatever is the service you use to store images for your eBay auctions always preview the listing page to be sure that images are displayed correctly.

An image is worth a thousand words. This is true also when you sell on eBay. Make good use of images in your auction listings and you will always receive more bids

Have you ever been “invited” out by your friends for a drink and at the next moment you know, he asked you to follow him up to a building? He starts telling you stories about his friends who are making a five figure income per month and that interest you!

He asked you the golden question, “Do you want to earn that kind of five figure income that my friend is earning?” Well, why not? Your answer probably was yes. The next thing you know he took out a stack of paper and start explaining the earning potential with his network company. He went on to explain to you about their products in detail. You are overwhelmed with information and all you want was to get into the business quick.

In no time, you join the company and were all ready to make some big money. But three months later, you find yourself going no where, you seem to be at the same spot where you started. Instead of making five figure incomes which your friend claims that you can, you are losing money on advertising and promotion. You are really lost and were in the verge of giving up.

In the end you gave up, you are very disappointed with the company and your friend. You felt being cheated and conned. You begin to think that network marketing company are scammers and you go around telling people to avoid and not to buy from such and such company.

So what actually happened? Is network marketing really a scam?

I did a research and found out that most people who condemn network marketing companies have never been involved with network marketing before. So why are they so negative about it? Did their friends tell them that network marketing was a scam? I believe so.

In the recent years, network marketing companies have grown popular and there was a significant increase in such companies. It was a trend. People are joining these companies because of the earning potential. Most companies realize the growing popularity and were going all out to attract new members.

I have understood why most network marketing companies fail because of two simple reasons. Sad to say, most companies have designed their compensation only to benefit those who are at the top of the organization and not for the masses. Members who join later will eventually leave and spread negative comments about network marketing simply because they cannot succeed.

The second reason which I noticed was companies were not providing sufficient support to their new members. The new members have to struggle and work their way through trial and error. They are new to network marketing and most of them don’t know how progress or even get started. Adequate training and support is needed to help them members grow and I personally feel that it is a must in any network marketing companies. A lack of support will result in a high percentage of members dropping out. Similarly, those that dropped out tend to spread negative comments and thus gave the networking companies a bad name.

These are the two reasons which I feel was why people have a bad impression about network marketing companies. A poorly designed compensation plan which only benefits the people at the top and the lack of support to new members, both is probably the cause of the bad impression.

Then again, there are legitimate and honest network marketing companies out there. Statistics shows that 3% of companies in the network marketing industry succeed and the 97% that failed was probably because of either one of the reason I discussed earlier. If you are skeptical about network marketing, I hope this article clarify some of your doubts and improve you understanding about why people have a bad impression about network marketing.

Building a link popularity strategy these days has become
very difficult and time consuming. The search engines have
evolved and it is much more difficult to cheat the system
that prevents spam websites from appearing at the top of
search engines. This has made a successful link popularity
campaign a lot more tedious and more work than previously.
However, you do not have to be a search engine optimization
expert to get good good rankings. Follow these link
popularity basics and you will get good search engine
rankings over a long period of time.

Google mentions on their site that a link from Yahoo and
Open Directory constitutes as a vote of quality as in the
Google webmaster guidelines. Get listed in the two most
important directories on the web. Google favours older
websites and applies a sandbox filter for new sites making
it difficult for webmasters to spam the search engine. It
can take a new website up to 12 months to rank well in the
organic listings. A link from these websites will
definitely help new websites to break out of the Google
sandbox.

List your website in second tier directories like Best Of
The Web, Business.com, MSN BCentral and Gimpsy. You can
also list your website in a few third tier directories like
Joeant and UncoverTheNet.

Do a newsworthy press release to obtain free publicity and
get good quality links pointing to your website. You can
get good quality free links from PRLeap and I-Newswire. It
costs $80 dollars to get a good quality link from PRWeb.

Google trusts Wikipedia even more than Open Directory.
Getting a link here will definitely boost your rankings.
However if you submit a link for your home page it will
very likely be removed and considered as spam. The secret
to getting listed in Wikipedia is to have a very
professional and informative article on a niche topic. Then
in the niche category on Wikipedia you can suggest your
article as an external link and you will still find your
link in a months time.

Search for popular forums related to your niche. Register
for them and create a signature with anchor text based on
your keywords. Submit regular informative posts and
helpful. You will gain link popularity and people who read
your posts will also click on to your website.

Do a search on Google for the top websites for your related
niche and get those websites to link to you. On topic
links will boost your search engine rankings, but avoid too
much reciprocal linking as Google will penalize you.

You can write your way using articles to the top of search
engines. Submit your polished article to the major article
directories like Ezinearticles, Goarticles, Article
Dashboard and Article Alley. You will good quality links
pointing back to your website.

Once you put these basics into practice you need to focus
for at least a period of 6 to 12 months and you will find
that you will start getting top search engine rankings.

After you write your fabulous niche marketing article and you hit the enter key…send it on its merry cyber way, a lot of great things suddenly start to happen.

Naturally the article directory will read it by a human (as opposed to by software) and make sure that the content that you’ve come up with complies with their regulations and restrictions. They’ll also be sure to remove anything that’s unacceptable like HTML coding and foul language.

(Quick story, I recently had an article REJECTED at Helium because I used the word ‘damn’…so just be careful as you start swinging dubious words around.)

Once your niche marketing article has been put into the article directory servers (which are spidered by the biggest search engines VERY frequently) an interesting game of supply and demand takes place. If Google, for instance, spiders the article directory and finds things within YOUR niche marketing article that it needs, it will pull that article and put it up as a natural search ‘find’ to those people searching for it. (Very valuable!!!)

For instance, if this article was about “Martians That Croon” (it’s not, don’t worry) and there was a large GOOGLE demand for that kind of content, then Google and Yahoo! and the billion other search engines would ‘lift’ YOUR article to the head of the class and put it in their search engines to be ‘found’ by people doing natural searches for “Martians That Croon.”

Now, some article directories are better loved than others (that should NOT be a surprise) and that love changes every day…but ezinearticles.com is continually praised as being one of the best places you could ever find.

If you feed the engines what they love to eat…when they NEED to eat…you will be rewarded for your niche marketing article. I guarantee it.

Do you ever wonder how much traffic you could be generating if you wrote more articles? If you were to take the average figures for click through rates and daily article views you could easily come up with a formula for how many site visitors you would receive. Let’s say that each article you have written gets viewed 10 times per day. Let’s also say that you have written 10 articles. According to Christopher Knight the average click through rate of a reader for the author bio is around 3%. This means that 10 articles viewed 10 times each would result to 100 page views. With a 3% click through rate you would receive around 3 visitors to your site each day.

These are very modest numbers used in the above example. Many of my articles are read over 50 times their first day published. This also only takes into account the amount of page views you receive from the article directory itself, and it does not figure in the search engine traffic and traffic from other sites that use your articles. The above example is simply a worst case scenario for the traffic you will receive from your articles.

If you discipline yourself enough to write at least one article per day for six months then you will have approximately 180 articles written. Say these 180 articles are viewed 20 times each per day (which is about normal). This would equate to around 3,240 visitors per month! Anyone can see how effective article marketing can be for building your traffic. As long as you write effective articles with an author bio that attracts clicks you will be fine. A good title filled with keywords helps too!

For a lot of us, writing articles can be a chore. Even if you don’t gnaw on your nails in the fear of breaking grammatical rules, the thought of churning out even one 700+ word article per week is probably daunting. Imagine writing one per day!

So we search for tools and aids to help us break the writer’s block. We hope that we can produce a brilliant discussion that grips the reader with its profundity. We labour over the topic of the article and sweat bullets over every paragraph.

But is there a more effective and easier way?

Concentrate On Effectiveness, Not Wordiness

Does your marketplace require all articles to be thorough discussions of the subject matter? Think about it.

My reading habits (and there are a lot of people who read like me) may prove differently. The sheer volume of information that we have to process now forces us to take a different approach to our reading.

More and more we scan the material, seeking the nuggets from the body of text that catch our attention and that seem worthy of careful consideration.

Get To The Point Already!

That would explain why concise bullet points are very important parts of communications – they get the message across quickly.

That’s why writing quick tips is an increasingly powerful strategy. Extracting the substance and offering a tip instead of a lengthy article demonstrates your grasp of the topic – it takes good understanding to boil ideas down to their essence and communicate them quickly.

More and more readers will appreciate this as it saves us valuable time and allows us to return to our business of implementing the solutions.

Beat The Article-Writing Demon Into Submission!

While those who are haunted by visions of articles refusing to be written may be determined to conquer the demons and become skilled at producing lengthy articles on demand, you can relax in the knowledge that there’s another way.

Take one thought at a time, one practical ‘how to’ snippet and explain it in a brief tip. Say what has to be said and nothing more.

Create a short tip article made of primarily bulleted points. Circumvent your blank page blues.

You can be sure your readers and your previously fearful heart will thank you for it.

TipZine.com – an article directory where you are rewarded – not penalized, for writing tips and short tip articles. Visit http://www.tipzine.com/rewards.php to learn how to claim your reward.

Video marketing can be an excellent way to generate web site traffic. Video marketing is essentially free (other than the cost of the camera to shoot the video) and can be a very powerful strategy in getting targeted traffic back to your site, as well as in other facets of the marketing process like building relationships and branding yourself. Many people are intimidated by video marketing because they are not sure exactly how to do it. It is really quite simple and when done properly, this technique can generate web site traffic in large quantity.

The basic idea behind using video marketing to generate web site traffic is to create a marketing video on a particular topic. What you make the video on will obviously depend on what product, service, or opportunity you are promoting. When you make the video, you can edit it and add text in the beginning, during, or after your video that displays your website URL. When you upload your video to sites like youtube and yahoo video (there a tons of sites where you can submit videos, I mentioned these two because they are two of the most popular) you will enter tags which are basically like keywords. They are essentially the terms you would want your video to show up for in the results when someone searches that term on that particular site.

As people are searching the videos on these sites, you can have your video displayed when people are doing searches that are relevant to the tags you have on your video. If people like what they see on your video and you have displayed your website URL, some of these people who check out your video will go back to your site.

Using video marketing is an effective way to generate web site traffic if done properly. First you want to be sure to create videos that have decent content or that are going to interest the audience you are targeting. If your video is not interesting to the target group, they are not going to have incentive to go and check out your site. You really want to make sure you are giving a people a reason to check out your site.

Another thing you will want to do to generate web site traffic using video marketing is to submit your video’s to multiple sites. Just as people have favorite search engines, they have favorite video sites. The more site’s you submit to, the more of a presence you will have and the greater the likelihood of someone coming across your video.

Video marketing can be a great way to generate web site traffic. If you are committed to putting in the work and creating good video’s that interest people in your target market, you can really get some nice traffic that costs you nothing but your time. Additionally, video marketing can enhance other aspects of the overall marketing process such as building relationships and personal branding. The fact is more and more successful marketers are using this powerful technique. If you are willing to learn how to do it and take action, you could generate web site traffic in substantial volume and allow your business to reap a number of other benefits as well.

Do you have any forums that you drop by frequently?

If so, what is the main motivation that keeps you spending most of your time hanging around the forums?

Is it because you have some internet friends in the forum, or maybe you need helps for your marketing problems or simply you just want to chat with people and be recognized as an authority in certain topics?

To me, keeping up with huge amount of posts and contents each day would be a total waste of my time, especially if it doesn’t benefit me in any way towards my business… somehow that’s what I used to think.

Until recently I signed up for a newsletter authored by the “Queen of Forums, Cindy Battye. She ultimately reverse the views I have in participating the forums, she also teaches me how to utilize it and turn it into one of my powerful marketing weapon.

Today I’ll like to share with you one of the most useful tips that I’ve learn from her on how to make use of the forum signatures to their full extent.

Most people only use their signatures in an attempt to spam the forum. This not only waste their time and effort when someone clicks on your signature link and only to find out what you offer are usually not related to what they are looking for, but also a great impact on your reputation as they will try to avoid clicking your links in the future.

So the correct way to leave your forum signatures is to consider these 4 important factors when you edit your signature:

PROMOTION – The signature link acts just like roadside advertising, especially if it is done such a way it doesn’t annoy anyone. In other words, no animated smileys. The repetition of the link and the helpful information above your signature are an effective and long lasting way to promote your company and your product.

TRAFFIC – In addition to the promotion which you get from adding your business web link to your signature, you get the traffic from the people who see the site promoted and follow through by clicking on the link. A link that appears regularly on a large and trusted forum is often seen as being more trustworthy. Because the link is visible and the messages are never harsh or divisive, there is already a level of confidence build in the website by itself.

BACKLINKS – Each time you post at a forum, you are not only promoting your web page directly and adding to the traffic coming to your website, you’re also growing the numbers of your backlinks on your own website. When the search engine spider crawls the forum, your link is counted as a backlink, which provides you with many backlinks within a very short period of time.

PAGE RANKING – Increasing the numbers of backlinks can assist in increasing your page rank. Page ranking is Google’s measure of importance that they put they stamp on your site, and will affect how high up the page of your website will appear if a person types your keywords into the search engine. You can easily increase your page rank without the need of purchasing any links.

All you need to do is include your web site link within your signature. Although not instantaneous, your signature-based link will soon give you an increased page ranking. Set your signature up correctly. For the best result, use keywords that you want to be found for when people are searching in Google.

Do you still think that spending some time hanging around inside the forums are a waste of time?

Well, at least not for me anymore…

Of course, to fully utilize a forum site will not only consist of adding your your signatures, there’s more to it. But your main concern when making a post to which ever forum you’re in is to understand their rules and regulation, and to provide genuinely useful contents when starting or replying to certain topics.
